Meek Mill's Renovated Basketball Court Gets Unveiled This Weekend

Hip-hop artist, entrepreneur, and criminal justice activist Meek Mill’s newly refurbished childhood basketball court in East Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, will finally be revealed this Saturday, Aug. 17th. This project began last October and was carried out by Meek in partnership with Puma, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, Mural Arts Philadelphia, and the Strawberry Mansion Community Development Corporation. Meek has had a history of Puma projects that connect directly with his passion for social reform and uplifting his community. Recently he dropped a new colorway or the Puma Clyde Court #Reform, a shoe meant to highlight the unjust prison sentencing in the US justice system. This project also has an added layer of sentimental value because of how connected Meek is to his city and community. With all his legal battles over this past year, it means a lot that he is still so focused on giving back to his community like this.
