Filling Pieces Lay Up Icey "Dip-Dye"

Filling Pieces is experimenting with the process of dyeing materials for FW19, here showcasing a new dip-dyed technique on its Lay Up Icey sneaker. The brand generally dyes its materials prior to assembly, but with the FW19 Lay Up Icey, the complete sneaker is dyed. Due to the dip-dyeing, the upper of each sneaker, comprised of suede, nubuck, and canvas, takes on its own patina, therefore, each iteration is unique to itself. The “Dip-Dye” Lay Up Icey comes in peach, dark green, and navy blue colorways as a part of Filling Pieces’ FW19 “New World” collection. In addition to the sneakers, which released August 16th, the Amsterdam-based label implemented the dyeing technique on its latest ready-to-wear garments. Each piece boasts its own pattern thanks to the hand-dyeing process. Items include a graphic hoodie, sweatpants, and long-sleeve, releasing exclusively through Filling Pieces’ web store.
